Panya, in Thai, means two things at once: variety and medicine. We started in a small village in Nakhon Ratchasima, collecting seeds that had been saved and replanted for generations but were slowly disappearing from Thai farms.
Today we work with smallholder farmers in Thailand and India. We pay a fair seed-save price, we document the story of each variety, and we ship the seeds, along with the knowledge of how to grow them, to home gardeners who want to eat what their grandparents ate.
We believe food is medicine, and medicine starts with the seed.

The chili seed-keeper
Pa Noi saves heirloom chili varieties on her family plot in Mae Taeng. She supplies a third of Panya's chili seeds.
The tomato farm
Pabhoi Greens saves over 300 tomato varieties on their farm in Assam's warm, wet climate. Our Indian tomato selection comes entirely from their fields.
