African Togo Tomato
African Togo Tomatoes are documented as being one of the oldest known varieties of heirloom tomatoes and these tomatoes are of African Origin and it is known to thrive in hot climates. African Togo is a determinate produced pink pulpy and juicy fruits having a pretty scalloped shape and blossom end anomalies like bellybuttons or babies. It is prolific producer of tart, juicy fruits with large seeds and thin flesh. Easy to care and require less water, sets fruit in heat. This is a sturdy little workhorse, and also grows well in a pot.
HOW TO GROW
Soak seeds overnight. Sow 1 cm deep in a seedling tray with moist potting mix.
Keep warm and bright. Water from below. Germinates in 5–7 days.
Move to a 3-litre pot once seedlings have four true leaves. Water at the roots.
Pinch tips for bushier plants. Harvest from week six onwards.
